The Extractives Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) is currently looking for a Country Manager/ Country Officer for Mena in Oslo, Norway. This is an opportunity to work in an international and vibrant environment. Our work focuses on helping citizens of resource-rich countries benefit from their natural resources, and subjects at the cutting edge of development and the extractive industries.

A Country Manager/Country Officer to support our work in the Middle East and North Africa. It is for 6-9 months with a possibility of extension.
Country Managers/Country Officers support EITI activities, both directly by the International Secretariat and through partners, in a portfolio of countries. At present, the EITI is being implemented in 51 countries, including Afghanistan and Iraq. Several other countries in the region are expected to join soon.
In addition to country responsibilities, Country Managers/Country Officers support on specific policy and thematic issues related to extractive sector governance. Often, they also support the International Secretariat’s work on management, finance, training, communication and research.
Knowledge and experience of the Middle East and North Africa, including Afghanistan, is an asset. Candidates from the region are particularly encouraged to apply. The Secretariat will consider candidates for full time work if they demonstrate specific policy, analytical or administrative skills.
