sharing in governance of extractive industries
I'm in the very fortunate position to be able to offer someone an exciting job for the next two years! I've recently been awarded the funding for a research project to work on ASM in Sierra Leone and Liberia, with a particular focus on governance in small-scale mining communities.
I'm hoping to work with someone who has an understanding of ASM, and some knowledge of the West African context. The applicant should have a PhD, and needs to be willing to spend 12 months in West Africa doing fieldwork. The job offers a very good salary for an early career researcher, and there's a generous allowance for fieldwork subsistence/expenses.
